What's the difference between Intel's PD-900 series CPU and the unsullied E-series CPU? Their specs look similar: both having the 775 socket next to dual core...?
A grill something like Intel CPUs...?
Pentium D
Core2Duo
two completely different cpu's ... intel decided after flopping near the pentium d that they needed an entire new cpu, ground up.
so they designed this brand new cpu core2duo that was much much much more well-run (quite a few of amds basic thinking were used)
intel no longer worries roughly having the uppermost ghz because they learnt that really wasnt where on earth the true processing power came from... it be the amount of work per cycle...
anyways...
the new intels are almost 40% quicker then the old-fashioned ones, they generate much less boil, they use less electricity, ect ect.. .their a completely clean chip.
Whatever in their specs that is to say different. Seriously.
The Pentium D runs on the NetBurst architecture. NetBurst is slow, outdated, and runs hot. On the other hand, the E-series runs on the Core 2 Duo architecture. Core 2 Duo beat AMD processors by huge margins. Pentium D processors are being phased out currently.
