Yes, the cable should be unless your computer have already used it for another device. Look for a ribbon cable from the motherboard with two connectors. One of them may already be hooked up to your knotty drive. Assuming the hard drive is set to MASTER, set the CD-ROM to SLAVE (small jersey on the back of the D-ROM). If the complex drive is slave, then set to the CD-ROM to MASTER. Mount the drive. You'll requirement four screws. Should be supplied beside the drive. Find the power cord from the power supply and plug it into the CD-ROM. Plug in the ribbon cable.



Power up and it should be organized to go!

If you do not currently enjoy a cd-rom, it most likely will not own a data cable inside, if you are replacing your rom, it will be nearby. Your power supply will most likely hold an extra plug or two, depending on your system.
