Can anyone report to me how to overclock the CPU on my optiplex gx260.?

Being competent to overclock is a feature of the motherboard and BIOS, and brand-name computers similar to Dell, Sony, HP, Compaq etc cannot be overclocked.

Even if you replaced the motherboard on such a system, yo overclock you need better than stock cooling- the tower overnight case needs excellent airflow and the standard heatsinks, fan etc on brand-name PCs aren't up to the task- you'd have to replace those, too.

Overclocking is an chance for generic systems built from scratch, beside components that were purchased near that in mind...
If you arent sure how to overclock ,i wouldnt recommend doing it. It make the components put out more heat among other things and you can pull the system doing it if you are inexperienced. But, if you insist on knowing, you go into the BIOS (hit a predetermined switch at startup before window boots) .Use the link below as it is upright to walk through adjectives of the steps.
