your browser, os own huge holes for all sorts of unkind content to seep through & more so on the broadbad highway



near computer prices crashing, my sincere advise would be to receive a modern system & adequate walls before venture into the auto-bahn's
As long as your broadband connects by ethernet then the short answer is yes.



Your chief problems would be that the PC itself would be slow opening up a browser skylight & rendering the pages (not to mention the unpatched deposit risks in Win95 & (I think) IE4.



So, yes it can be done but I wouldn't recommend doing it for anything else but doing it for a bit of fun :)
If you follow the above answer, use a router beside your broadband connection. If you use a router and firewall your PC have much less work to do.
