Can my 7800 Geforce GS play HD movies using my Plasma HD as the monitor?

If I download movies on my computer or use it to play DVD's, will it play contained by HD if I hook it up to my 50 Samsung Plasma?

It's capable. As long as your movies are contained by HD, it will play in HD. It adjectives depends on your source movie. If you just play a regular DVD movie, it won't be contained by HD as it doesn't upscale.
