should i see if its settle or sata compatible ? how do i know if my system has settle or sata conectors ? thx!

Go to <Control Panel><System Properties> [Hardware] [Device Manager]

Check under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers You will see what controllers you hold.

Now to find out if there is an stretch out slot for controller I typically have to undo a box and check. See this article:
