Can I install Vista Ultimate next to 512MB RAM? 256MB Video card?

will vista automatically adjust itself to the computer specs? can I turn sour some of it's features so I can run it smoothly

Can I install Vista Ultimate next to 512MB RAM? 256MB Video card?

I wouldnt recommend Vista Ultimate.

However Ive got Vista Home Premium running more than happliy on :

2.4ghz Pentium 4

512mb RAM

Hope This Helps You.
You can install but recommend push size is 1gb .
yes it should re-adjust itself providing you have met the minimum requirements and yes you can turn stale some features. and its Vista it will never run smoothly
NO. It will give zilch but problems and run beyond slow. Check the reqirements on Microsoft site. With 512M the best recommended is Vista Basic.
For anything higher than unfinished you need:

At tiniest 1GB of RAM, recommended 2GB.

40GB hard drive beside 15GB space

128MB Video Card (minimum)

DVD-Rom Drive

Audio Output

In other words, to install Vista Ultimate you're gonna have to upgrade your PC specs.
You can but you will enjoy memory issues like XP does when running on 128mb.

It can be done but the aggravation is not worth it, and as cheap as RAM is, unnecessary.

Bump up to 1 gb, even if you have to replace your current RAM modules.
I installed Vista Home Premium near that setting and it worked really smoothly, but I don't know about best, they have different system demands.
Vista will adjust and you can turn stale some of the features. I would not run Vista on less than 2GB, though, because the behaviour difference is huge.
