AGP 4X/8X video slot?

That card is roughly speaking 4 years old!! It is slow and out of use. Also it only supports DirectX 8. Microsoft XP uses DirectX 9c and Vista uses DirectX 10. If you plan to do more than surf the network and run Microsoft Office, you should get a better video card.

Refer to following video card observation charts.

939 is a AMD socket type, not a motherboard type. Run Belarc Advisor to find out what make and model the motherboard is.

Newegg.com list 22 motherboards with a 939 socket

Some of these unmarked motherboards can use the latest AMD X2 processors.; SATA 3Gb/s; and hold multiple PCI x16 slots.

If your motherboard is old ( PCI or AGP video, USB 1.0, etc.) you might consider replacing it next to one that supports PCI x16; USB2.0; 64 X2 processors; FSB: 1000MHz; dual channel memory; etc.
